Aid to Ukraine from Finland

Finland provides defence and humanitarian aid to Ukraine after the start of full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the Finnish government submitted its proposal to parliament to supplement the draft budget 2024. It includes an increase in aid for Ukraine.

Recently, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, Wille Tavio, said that Helsinki will provide €3 million in aid to improve food security in Ukraine.

On December 12, Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkanen signed a document on increasing local ammunition production capacity to enable long-term support for Ukraine.

The agency has committed to investing about €24 million in increasing the production of large-calibre ammunition and obtaining long-term orders from the Finnish industry, enabling the industry to invest independently.

In addition, the Finnish industry can apply to the EU for support within the funding package of the Ammunition Support Regulation, known as ASAP.
