Putin began to threaten Trump amid the US conflict with Iran

Russia sided with Iran
Source:  online.ua

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's team has decided to intervene in the conflict between the United States and Iran. Moreover, the Kremlin has even resorted to threats, commenting on the latest statements of American leader Donald Trump.

Points of attention

  • A close aide to Putin expresses worries about the situation's complexity after Trump's threatening remarks, underlining the risks for the entire region if US actions escalate in response to Iran.
  • Trump's recent public threats to bomb Iran and impose tariffs in the absence of a new nuclear deal signal the intensification of tensions in the region, prompting reactions from Russian leadership.

Russia sided with Iran

The statement on this matter was made by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with Russian propagandists.

The latter tried to intimidate Donald Trump's team, emphasizing that potential US strikes on Iran would have "catastrophic" consequences.

Threats are indeed being made, ultimatums are also being made. We consider such methods inappropriate, we condemn them, we consider them a way for the US to impose its will on the Iranian side.

A close aide to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has also begun publicly complaining about Trump's recent comments.

According to him, they only "complicated the situation."

The consequences of this, especially if strikes are carried out on nuclear infrastructure, could be catastrophic for the entire region, — Sergey Ryabkov fears for the United States.

What is important to understand is that Donald Trump recently publicly threatened that the US would bomb Iran and impose secondary tariffs if Tehran did not sign a new nuclear deal.

The Economist has learned from its sources in the Ukrainian government that elections in Ukraine could be held as early as the summer of 2025, and the current head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky, is allegedly planning to run for a second term.

Points of attention

  • Zelensky's team is gearing up for the campaign, aiming to engage voters while navigating challenges such as restoring voter lists in the midst of war.
  • Insiders reveal that Zelensky's push for re-election includes strategizing for a full ceasefire before launching the electoral process, potentially by the end of April.

Zelensky is determined to become the president of Ukraine for the second time

According to media reports, the Ukrainian leader recently called a meeting to instruct his team to organize a vote after a full ceasefire.

Currently, US President Donald Trump's team is hoping that it can be implemented by the end of April.

The first step to launching the electoral process is the lifting of martial law.

Sources differ on the exact timing, but most say Zelensky is targeting summer. The law requires at least 60 days for campaigning, so the earliest possible date would be early July.

According to other insiders, the campaign will last three months: that is how much time, as the election authorities informed the parliament, is needed to restore voter lists in the midst of war.

Serious preparations are now underway for Zelensky to appear before voters for the second time, and quite soon, the publication writes.
